Well the weirdness continues and is getting worse.  I've upgraded to 1.1.18 but am having issues.  Grrrr.

The upgrade went cattywampus.  Took me some time to sort it out.
We still need to get to the latest version.  But I'll leave that alone until the frustration wears off.  Wink

Nice work, Daniel.

So that was a fun 24 hours.  Did you miss us?   Grin

For the record, we're at 1.1.4 and 1.1.18 is where we need to go.

My first experience with SC was last month (March 2013) when I sat down with an Italian Spruce and Cocobolo 000 Custom. It now lives with me. I would like to try a D12 sometime.

edwa,
There's a McCabes in Santa Monica.  I don't know if the Long Beach one was a now defunct branch or if the whole shop moved, but they're still going strong in Santa Monica.

Cool story too!

I heard it before I ever played it. 1989 I was working on a movie and had gotten to the recording stage out in Glendale, CA. where the Main Title music was to be performed and recorded. The musician was seated behind a sound baffle and I couldn't see him. I listened with awe, not only to the guy's talent but to the quality of the instrument and with out seeing it I knew it wasn't a Martin. I was still playing my old Japanese Washburn Dred at the time. Later that day I met the musician and learned it was a Santa Cruz. He let me play his guitar and I was smitten with it. A couple of months later I started taking lessons to get beyond my 'self-taught" ability. My teacher was Howard Yearwood and he also played a Santa Cruz, but an older one. He's probably still got it somewhere in Nashville! I finally found a dealer, McCabes in Long Beach, CA (long gone) and bought what I thought would be my last guitar. Ha! I have tried for years to buy a Martin out of respect for such a great heritage, but they never fit my ears or hands. I just bought my 2nd SC (a 000) to go with the Dred, an Eastwood Maple OM, an Epiphone EL-00 (my beater), and a Traveler MK-II for out of town travels.
